Mesothelioma News

UK family of mesothelioma victim looking for help with asbestos claim
The family of a UK stonemason who died of mesothelioma is hoping to obtain asbestos compensation and is seeking the man's former colleagues for help.

Neil Woodward died last year and the coroner determined that he passed away from an industrial disease, according to the Oxford Mail. Now the man's family is hoping to find out when and how he was exposed to the asbestos that cost him his life.

"We found out it had been an industrial illness, and then discovered it had been caused by asbestos," Woodward's granddaughter, Jane, told the news source.

Woodward worked at a number of sites throughout the course of his career where he may have been exposed to asbestos and the mesothelioma attorney assisting the family is hoping to speak to some people who worked with him.

"In order to obtain justice for his family, I need to hear from people who have information concerning the working practices at sites contracted out by Axtell and Perry between 1949 and 1954, and Symm & Company between 1961 and 1968," she told the news source.

Asbestos exposure can cause asbestosis and lung cancer as well as malignant mesothelioma.
